Our Skiptober event kicks off on October 1st, 2024, and will run throughout October. Throughout this time, our team will be skipping daily to raise funds for our chosen charity, Mind. We’re challenging ourselves to skip as much as possible—whether solo or with family and friends. Skipping offers numerous physical and mental health benefits, which is something we strongly believe in.

The idea:

Our team was tasked with coming up with fun fundraising ideas, and the winner was Skiptober!

Skipping offers incredible physical benefits—such as improved cardiovascular health, enhanced coordination, increased stamina, and muscle toning. Skipping can reduce stress, boost mood, and improve focus by releasing endorphins and helping clear your mind.

With the added bonus of involving friends and family, we all agreed this would be the perfect event.

To keep each other motivated, we created a dedicated chat to share videos and pictures of our skipping in various locations. We also set up a weekly 10-minute lunchtime skipping session, open to everyone—whether you're skipping or just there to cheer others on!

At nzyme active, we take mental health seriously.

Even while on holiday, our team stayed committed to skipping every day during this event, capturing some incredible videos with stunning backdrops.

Our event is open to everyone, no matter where you are or your skill level. We’ve had skippers in Malawi, Sorrento, the UK, and even in kitchens! Those unable to do high-impact sports still joined in, skipping without a rope and embracing the outdoors instead.
